Payroll and HR Coordinator Responsibilities The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for carrying out facility payroll in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
As a Payroll and HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for duties not limited to employee relations, benefits, compensation, leave of absence, workers compensation, recruiting, prescreening, hiring, onboarding, new hire orientation, terminations, and participation in unemployment claims.
The Payroll and HR Coordinator promotes employee relations and supports organizational goals.
Payroll and HR Coordinator Requirements Highschool Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in skilled nursing or healthcare related field preferred.
Minimum of one years' previous healthcare payroll experience highly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' proven experience and demonstrated capability as a payroll specialist required.
Possess effective communication skills to maintain positive relationship with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, governmental agencies, and the community.
Current knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
Strong personal organization and time management ability with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll application systems.
Strong understanding of payroll accounting and payroll best practices.
Strong work ethic and team player with excellent communication skills.
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
Ability to understand and follow applicable regulations, policies, and procedures fully and consistently.
Must have strong detail orientation and high accuracy level.
