Job Purpose The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting incoming products and component parts for quality standard compliance.
The Quality Assurance Technician will carry out dimensional assessments of product to confirm that dimensions meet blueprint specifications, as well as audits, inspects, and monitors assemblies and production parts as needed.
The Quality Technician will support all Quality Assurance Initiatives including First Article Inspection (FAI), Supplier PPAP, and Receiving Inspection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for adherence to the Cardinal Rules of SafetyResponsible for performing inspections on products including manufactured and purchased componentsCollecting and recording data using Programmable Measuring SystemsPerform analytical testing within the Quality Inspection AreaAssist with administrative duties within the Quality Inspection AreaMaintain calibration and training plans for hardware and software within the Quality Inspection AreaAbility to develop relationships in a highly matrixed organization, and drive teamwork cross-functionallyWorking with minimal directionAbility to interpret blueprints, quality inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions.
Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policyAssist with training needs of inspectors and provide support as necessaryAttend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis.

QualificationsEducationHigh School diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experienceLicenses/Certifications:
ISO 9001 or IATF Internal Auditor certification preferredKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Three years' experience in a quality manufacturing role preferably with an active certified quality system (ISO, AS, etc.
).
Experience in inspection theoriesFamiliar with Trumpf Laser and Bend Machines preferredRomer Arm ExperienceStatistical Process Control Experience preferredASQE Green Belt Certification preferred (DMAIC and DMADV knowledge and application)Quality experience with weld and sheet metal inspectionExperience in measurement usageExperience with CAD software, SolidWorks experience preferredExperience with GD&TInspection experience using blueprints (interpretation, etc.
)Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and windows-based programsEffective oral and written communications skillsAttention to detailAbility to read and understand 2D drawingsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
