Axium Foods, Inc Axium Foods, Inc South Beloit, IL South Beloit, IL Full-time Full-time From $19 an hour From $19 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Summary Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Production Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the safety of Team Members, product, plant, property, and equipment, as well as the quality of the product produced and that production rates are met.
The Production Team Leader interacts with members of all areas of the company, including senior management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities Follow the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), uniform and dress code, and product safety requirements.
Manage the safety of departmental Team Members.
Implement and enforce quality control standards.
Control production to meet the schedule demands.
Manage all changeovers from shutdown through restart.
Train new Team Members to achieve maximum quality and productivity in a safe manner.
Routinely direct and follow-up with Team Members.
Motivate Team Members and create a good working atmosphere.
Implement and monitor standard operating procedures.
Participate and lead continuous improvement events.
Control the Production Team activities to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Work with other Team Leaders and Operations Managers to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Assist with and conduct Team Member performance reviews when required.
Assist with and conduct Team Member corrective actions when required.
Lead team meetings when needed.
Verify all paperwork is complete and accurate.
Fill out hold reports.
Conduct incident investigations and complete incident reports.
Create chart placements for daily positions and rotation.
Update shortage report throughout the week.
Create product samples as needed.
Fill in on the production lines when needed.
Provide employees with tools and equipment from vending machine.
Lead daily and weekly cleanup and sanitation, including the proper handling of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Prefer minimum of 2 Year's supervisory experience.
Excellent communications skills.
Excellent team-building skills.

Education and/or Experience 2-4 years related experience High school or equivalent; prefer bachelor's degree Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job:
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or touch objects, tools, or controls; reach above shoulders; and talk and listen.
The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
