The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for shipping documentation including bills of lading and shipping labels.
Routes outgoing shipments through various freight carrier webpages- and schedules transportation of shipments.
MAIN TASKS/
Responsibilities:
Work with Finishing Supervisor to determine daily shipping needs.
Prepare accurate freight quotes for sales department.
Prepare and verify accuracy of packing lists, bills of lading and shipping labels.
Coordinate pick up of all freight leaving facility; set up logistic shipments using customer websites.
Assist in shipping department as needed with marking pallets with address labels, pro stickers, and/or packing lists.
Prepare accurate loss/damage claims.
Process shipments in SAP; access freight charges from carrier websites and calculate rate using Focus Logistics.
Prepare and verify accuracy of custom invoices for Canadian orders.
Prepare accurate shipping reports.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and shippers; communicate and resolve complaints.
Data entry.
Keep a meticulous record of shipment information.
General administrative duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Cross train in production office when required.
POSITION TYPE, EXPECTED WORK HOURS AND TRAVEL:
Non-Exempt, Full-Time, M/F, 5 days per week, Occasional overtime.
Work Location:
In person (80% Office Environment/20% Manufacturing Environment) Work Travel:
Minimal Profil High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior shipping coordinator experience.
Computer literacy skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Spanish speaking a plus.
Self-motivated and can work independently and/or within a team setting.
Attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills.
