ER Registration Receptionist - $1,500 signing bonus!
Staff On Site currently recruiting Emergency Room Registration Receptionist.
2nd shift 3 days/week (shifts will vary between 2:
30p to 11p and 3p to 11:
30p ) Working every 3 rd weekend and every 3 rd holiday These are Temp to Hire positions.
Emergency Room Registration Specialist Solves practical problems, dealing with a variety of issues, and interprets a variety of instructionsfurnished in written or oral form.
Promotes positive interactions with medical and clinical staff, patients, and visitors.
Provides patients with information regarding hospital policy and procedures, directing patients toappropriate nursing or ancillary units as necessary.
Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance to perform all essential duties within the scope ofposition.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for greeting and arriving patient to Emergency Room Monitors and support needs of patients while waiting to be seen, taking appropriate measures toensure a safe and positive patient experience.
Takes patient complaints and symptoms and listing these into quick registration pathway forproper triage.
Gathers all necessary patient demographic and billing information from patients or family, thenenters billing system accurately.
Verifies patient insurance information and updates insurance information for patients presentingas walk ins and arrival by Emergency Medical Services Complete registration, verification, notification, and collection of patient financial responsibility forEmergency Medical Service arrivals at patient bedside.
Identifies patients without health insurance and provides information on Financial AssistanceProgram and has patient complete Patient Responsibility Waiver form.
Completes Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Questionnaire accurately for each Medicare patientregistration.
Notification and collection of all applicable co-pays and self-pay payment deposits for emergencyservices after EMT ALA evaluation of patient condition have taken place, and prior to discharge.
Either at desk or patient bedside.
Helps coordinate placement of patients into the appropriate inpatient unit as requested by nursingunit and as appears on the Pending Admit board.
Responsible for logging in the patients account notes that a patient has out of network insuranceand any attempt to transfer patients to an in-network facility that was denied.
Obtains signature onPatient Responsibility Waiver form.
Performs preadmission or preservice registrations and/or check-ins of patients for hospitalregistration desks during non-covered hours.
This includes, but not limited to registering patientsfor labs and/or x - rays before and after hours and on weekends.
Performs Switchboard functions as required, including announcing of alerts overhead and contactingeach department as necessary.
Attends to assigned work queues to resolve registration errors thus allowing patient bills toprocess in a timely mannerJob Requirements:
Education High school diploma or equivalent certification requiredExperience Minimum of 4 years registration in an Emergency or Urgent Care setting is required Strong background in Medicare and Medicaid emergency services policies is required Strong background in medical terminology Experience in working directly with the public in a service industry is strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong computer skills (including MS Word and Excel) Proficient typing skills Ability to maintain accuracy while working on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment underlow-to moderate supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette Ability to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and maintain HIP AA compliance Dependable in both production and attendance Exceptional organization and time management skillsWe are now offering a $1,500 signing bonus.
